The benefits listed below are available to our full-time, salaried employees. Benefit eligibility varies for part-time, hourly, and temporary employees; eligibility is based on the type of position, the number of hours worked, and tenure.
Employee Ownership
Sharing our success with employees provides an important incentive for maintaining the quality of our services. Ownership by
employees provides a stable organizational framework for long-term growth and development. Each year since 1977 Westat has
allocated shares of stock to employee-participants. Annual stock contributions range between 3 and 5 percent of an employee's
compensation.
401(k) Plan
The 401(k) is a defined contribution profit-sharing plan that is designed to provide tax-deferred, retirement-oriented benefits
to participants. We contribute each year to all eligible accounts. Westat contributes 5 percent of an employee's compensation
each year along with a partial matching contribution. Numerous investment options are available through T. Rowe Price &
Associates, and rollovers are accepted from qualified previous employer plans.
Staff Bonus Plan
Teamwork and cooperation are integral to the success of our business and we reward that effort with a bonus program. Employees receive
cash payment in December based on the overall success of the company.
