Table Viewer Utility

The Table Viewer utility is now available as a free download. Table Viewer is an easy-to-use tool for viewing, printing, and copying the output from 1-way, 2-way, and 3-way tables that have previously been created using WesVar 5. Table Viewer presents the WesVar output in a "grid" that is easier to work with than the normal WesVar output, which produces one row for each cell of your table request. All that is required to use Table Viewer is the request file (.wvb) and output files (.001 etc.) that were produced by WesVar. Table Viewer may be used without having WesVar itself installed, and access to the original WesVar data set is not required. Instructions for downloading the Table Viewer Utility

To download the free Table Viewer utility program, follow these steps below. After reviewing these steps, click on the link here to download the software.

1. Complete the online download form and submit it.
2. When you receive the confirmation screen that your download form information was submitted, click on the Download Table Viewer button.
3. The files needed for Table Viewer are all included in the self-executing zip file, TableViewerFiles.exe. When prompted by your browser, download and save the file to any convenient directory on your hard disk.
4. After the zip file has been downloaded and saved, double-click on it from Windows Explorer. By default, the files will be unzipped and placed in the directory C:\Program Files\Westat\WesVar 5\TabView. You may change this default location if you prefer.
5. Start the program by double-clicking on TableViewer.exe. Instructions are in the file tvhelp.rtf, and may be accessed either from within the program (using Help, Instructions) or separately (by opening the file with Microsoft Word, WordPad, or some other word processing program).

Relabel Utility

The Relabel utility is now available as a free download. This utility consists of a SAS program and a standalone executable program. Taken together, these let you use information from a SAS format library to relabel the values of a WesVar data set that you have previously imported from SAS. To download the free Relabel utility program, follow these steps below. After reviewing these steps, click on the link here to download the software.

1. Complete the online download form and submit it.

3. The files needed for Relabel are all included in the self-executing zip file, RelabelFiles.exe. When prompted by your browser, download and save the file to any convenient directory on your hard disk.

5. Instructions for using the programs are in the file ReadMe.html, which can be viewed or printed from your web browser.
