Upgrades from Previous Versions

1. Users who purchased a Version 3 license directly from Westat are entitled to a free Version 4.
   
2. Users who purchased a Version 3 license from SPSS are entitled to purchase version 4 from Westat at 50% of the prices in the Pricing Schedule. An SPSS buyer must submit some proof of the number of users.
   
3. Users of Version 2 can purchase Version 4 at the tabled prices in the Pricing Schedule.
   
   

Student Prices
Students may purchase individual copies for their own use for $25. The student version will be the full package but will work for only 4 months. No reference manual or technical support will be provided with a student version. Students should download an application form, fill it out, and mail it with payment to WesVar Student Sales, Westat, 1650 Research Boulevard, Rockville, MD 20850.

Universities with a five or more user license may allow free student use for educational purposes. The number of students allowed to use the package will not be limited, but students must access the software using a university network or university stand alone PC. Student copies for use on home or other non-university computers should be purchased separately.

Reference Manuals and CD-ROM
One paper manual will be supplied with each license, regardless of the number of users. Additional manuals can be purchased for $60 each. The software is distributed on one CD-ROM, which will be included with each purchase.

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs will be added to each purchase. A buyer will have the option of several methods, depending on the shipping destination and speed.

Technical Support
Limited technical support will be provided by email to all except student buyers. Buyers with multi-user permanent, multi-user annual, or enterprise licenses will be required to channel their questions through a single contact person at the licensee's location.

Technical support will be limited to answering questions on the use of the package and to following up on potential bugs in the software. Technical support will not include statistical consultation, (e.g., on how to form replicates for variance estimation in a particular sample design). This type of consultation may be provided via for-fee training courses.

Demonstration Version
A limited-use demonstration version can be downloaded from the Westat web site. The demo is the full package but will work for 30 days only. The demo will include a PDF file of these chapters in the manual:

Training
Westat staff are available to provide training at a licensee's place of business. Rates will depend on the number of persons taking the course and the length of the training. Two levels are available:

1. Basic Analysis
2. Weight Creation and Analysis.
