Susan Crystal-Mansour, PhD, Director of Westat’s Center for Association Services, will be speaking at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) 2017 Great Ideas Conference, March 5-7, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. The annual ASAE Great Ideas Conference hosts association leaders and industry stakeholders for collaborative discussion of innovations, challenges and trends facing associations.
Dr. Crystal-Mansour will lead an interactive iCreate panel entitled, Information Indigestion: Consume Research Responsibly, on Sunday, March 5 at 3:30pm and will be joined on the panel by association executives and research consultants. The panel will provide a hands-on opportunity for attendees to review and analyze research studies, including survey, data aggregation and analysis, and other information to learn sound methods for evidence-based decisionmaking.
Participants will learn how to interpret information responsibly from research consultants, and association executives will share top questions and pitfalls of analyzing and interpreting data from their experience. Takeaways will include key questions to ask when reviewing research and simple methods to avoid pitfalls like survey and analysis bias.
