2019 National Institutes of Health Director’s Award: Delegation of Tasks Log Application
Westat staff will be receiving the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH’s) Director's Award for Administrative Performance on July 15, 2019. The honor spotlights Westat researchers’ work with the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI’s) Delegation of Tasks Log application.
NIH noted Westat’s researchers' “outstanding efforts in development of a comprehensive investigator and sub-investigator qualification and tracking system and Delegation of Tasks Log for the conduct of clinical investigations.”
The award is for the Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU) team’s contributions to developing the DTL application. The team includes NCI staff and Caroline Porter, Amandeep Singh, and Kimberly Nupp from Westat.
The application allows clinical investigators to identify members of the research team and the specific roles and responsibilities during the clinical investigation. This information is collated in a centralized database and extracted on demand to document compliance with regulatory requirements.
