Big Data Meets Survey Science (BigSurv18) Features Westat Research
Westat is proud to be sponsoring and participating in this year’s inaugural Big Data Meets Survey Science (BigSurv18) conference taking place October 25-27, 2018, in Barcelona, Spain.
Organized by the European Survey Research Association (ESRA), this 3-day event will bring together computer scientists, data scientists, social scientists, and survey and big data experts from all over the world to discuss the practical applications for using Big Data and data science to improve the quality of statistics production.
Westat is sponsoring the conference’s Green City Hackathon, which, in collaboration with the Municipal Data Office at the Barcelona City Council, investigates innovations that can help make Barcelona a more sustainable place to work and live. Amelia Burke-Garcia, Ph.D., of Westat’s center for Digital Strategy & Research, will be one the hackathon’s judges.
