January 28 Webinar on National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (#NBHAAD) 2021

HIV continues to disproportionately impact Black communities across the nation. To raise awareness on effective approaches to HIV prevention, treatment, stigma, and education for Black communities, Westat is hosting an informational webinar in conjunction with National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2021.

Join us for this free webinar on Thursday, January 28th from 2:00 PM – 3:00 EST, to learn how HIV prevention strategies and treatment services are adapting to our increasing virtual world.

In collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP), Prevention Communication Branch, National Partnerships Team, Westat’s communications and partnership engagement team is convening a panel of experts and advocates to discuss the current state of HIV prevention and treatment services for Black Americans in a nation still grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar will also highlight available resources for partners and feature an overview from Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, the new DHAP director.
