Michael Raithel Gives Keynote Speech, Western Users of SAS Software 2018 Conference
Michael Raithel, a Westat senior systems analyst, was the keynote speaker at the Western Users of SAS Software 2018 Conference in Sacramento, California, in early September.
Mr. Raithel’s light-hearted speech, It’s Not Easy Being a SAS Programmer, was well received by the 400+ conference attendees. He also presented 2 SAS technical papers at the conference:

- Validating User-Submitted Data Sets with Base SAS
In addition, Mr. Raithel held a reading and book-signing event for his book: Did You Know That? Essential Hacks for Clever SAS Programmers. He has written 5 books on SAS programming, 20+ SAS technical papers, and is a popular presenter at regional and national SAS users group conferences.
