New Report Released on Value and Impact of Associations

Society is better, safer, and smarter because of work that associations do, notes a new report from the American Society for Association Executives (ASAE) Research Foundation. The foundation released the results of its multiyear Centennial Research Initiative entitled, Impact Every Day, to coincide with the 2020 ASAE Virtual Annual Meeting & Exposition, being held August 10-12. Westat supported data collection and analysis for all phases of the research.

Westat’s Joy Frechtling, Ph.D., a Vice President, and Polly Karpowicz, a Senior Study Director, will be on hand for a live chat at the virtual meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, to discuss the report.

Findings indicate survey respondents

  • Believe associations have enabled them to contribute to society in their respective fields
  • Expect associations to assist in shaping future industry progress and productivity
  • While the largest contributions of associations have been in education, they would like to see organizations invest more effort in other areas, particularly workforce development

To explore the research findings, visit the ASAE Research Foundation. The full report will be available for download in fall 2020.
