PATH Study Featured in Spotlight on Science

Findings from the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study were published in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) online publication Spotlight on Science: PATH Study Gives Insight into Flavored Tobacco, Health Effects of E-Cigarettes, and Adult Use of Cigars and Hookah. Westat designed the PATH Study, collects the data, and facilitates widespread analysis and dissemination of PATH Study information.

According to the article, the PATH Study is part of a “robust science base” the FDA relies on to develop regulations that improve public health.

FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) publishes Spotlight on Science, a quarterly science and research digest. It contains news about CTP’s research initiatives and science-based regulatory policy.
