Melissa Akinlawon, a Senior Research Associate and Senior Manager, Health Communications, has been selected as part of the inaugural cohort for the Public Health Communications Collaborative’s (PHCC’s) Brand Ambassador Program. The PHCC is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of communities across the U.S. through timely, science-based messaging and communication resources. This program represents a partnership between PHCC and public health communicators, who leverage their influence and networks to address public health challenges, foster public confidence, and combat misinformation.
Akinlawon joins 91 fellow communications professionals in a 3-month commitment to share essential health information within their communities and networks, while also providing valuable feedback on PHCC’s resources.
“I’m excited that this opportunity will allow me to share new industry resources, tools, and strategies with my colleagues as well,” notes Akinlawon. “The Public Health Communications Collaborative and the new Brand Ambassador Program create a community so we do not have to do it alone.”
