Thomas Krenzke Named American Statistical Association Fellow

Thomas Krenzke, a Westat senior statistician and Associate Director of Westat’s Statistical Staff, was named a 2017 Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA). The honor is a distinction only conferred upon one-third of 1% of the ASA’s membership. He will join 61 other new Fellows in Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, during the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) for official recognition.

“This is appropriate recognition of Tom’s work for the statistical profession in developing new statistical capabilities, in leadership and mentoring, and in service to both the WSS (Washington Statistical Society) and the ASA. We are proud this honor is being given to Tom,” noted David Morganstein, a Westat Vice President and Director of Statistical Staff.

Mr. Krenzke has more than 25 years of experience in survey samples and estimation techniques. He has led research in statistical disclosure control, sample design, variance estimation and more, and has served both the WSS and the ASA in both appointed and elected positions.
