Westat is leading a team in providing continued support to Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) Program grantees. TIF, a U.S. Department of Education initiative, provides funding for projects that develop and implement performance-based educator compensation systems in high-need schools.
Building on past successful efforts with the TIF Program, we will provide continued support through
- Content development
- Communications and outreach to the field
- Technical assistance
- Program monitoring
Westat is joined in this effort by the American Institutes for Research; Education Development Center, Inc.; Augenblick, Palaich, and Associates; the University of Wisconsin–Madison; Activate Research; and a team of consultants who have supported the TIF grantees across several cohorts.
We will monitor the progress of TIF grants and provide technical assistance in a range of domains related to performance-based compensation systems, human capital management, and educator effectiveness.
We will also provide logistical support for annual grantee meetings and analyze project information required to meet Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) and Program Assessment Rating Tool (PART) requirements.
In addition to supporting TIF grantees, Westat will host a public web site and community of practice for stakeholders across the reform areas.
