Westat Steps Up to APHA's 1 Billion Steps Challenge

2017-02-27

Westat staff are stepping up to the American Public Health Association’s (APHA’s) 1 Billion Steps Challenge, which is challenging Americans to walk 1 billion steps by the end of National Public Health Week on April 9, 2017.

The Challenge is designed to promote walking to improve health and encourages us to help reach the 1 billion steps goal by walking to work, walking to our next meeting, walking our kids to school, walking the dog, and more. APHA suggests making the challenge fun by inviting friends and colleagues to join in, and even creating your own team events.

Agencies and organizations that want to show their support for National Public Health Week can do so by signing up as a Partner and posting their events to the hundreds of celebrations nationwide.
