Matthew Ring is a Lead Statistical Associate for Statistics and Data Science with 5 years of experience in research, data visualization, and web scraping. His work spans synthetic data generation, causal inference, and machine learning (ML), with a focus on applying these methods to large-scale health surveys, education data systems, and public sector administrative data.
Ring specializes in building extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines; developing interactive dashboards; and applying natural language processing (NLP) techniques to extract insights from unstructured data. He has led efforts in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) chatbot development and web scraping activities. His work supports a range of clients, including NSF, CMS, USDA, and DOL.
Ring was previously a Massive Data Institute (MDI) Scholar at Georgetown University.
