Kerry Levin
Kerry Levin, PhD, is a Vice President for Public Health, and Chair of Westat’s Institutional Review Board. She specializes in survey design, pretesting, data collection, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and reporting. She leads several task orders for the federal government on methodologic studies, pretesting and data collection with households and businesses, and qualitative and quantitative consumer research. Her work includes expert reviews of surveys and communication materials, cognitive and focus group testing, and multimode data collection.
Levin leads a team with expertise in survey evaluation methods, including usability, focus group, cognitive testing, eye tracking, and in-depth interviewing. This qualitative research helps ensure surveys and communication materials are understood by the target audience. Her methodologic studies test best practices, identifying ways to improve survey response and reduce nonresponse bias.
