Lois Olinger is a Vice President for Behavioral Health and Health Policy. She manages a portfolio of health services research and policy focused on innovative health care delivery and organization, alternative Medicare and Medicaid payment, quality of care and quality measurement, health information technology and exchange, and patient safety. This research supports health care program design, implementation, monitoring, technical assistance, evaluation, learning systems, and dissemination. The goal is to improve the individual experience of care, improve population health, and reduce health care costs.
Clients include the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Health Resources and Services Administration, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, state health care agencies, and other health care organizations and foundations.
