Karen Stein Chosen as Council Member, American Sociological Association

Karen Stein, Ph.D., a Westat senior research analyst, has been chosen to be a Council Member of the American Sociological Association (ASA) for the Section on Sociological Practice and Public Sociology (SPPS). She will serve a 3-year term.
SPPS’s mission is to
- Advance sociologically informed research and practice
- Further public discussion of sociological issues
- Promote the use of sociology to inform public policy
