Westat is able to rapidly deliver secure, scalable, reliable hosting and computing infrastructure solutions at competitive cost to our clients. We do this by harnessing cloud infrastructure elasticity with proven cloud platform technologies and web services provided by Microsoft Azure and Amazon’s AWS.
Westat maintains an onsite secure, redundant, and highly available data center for projects with security needs that restrict the use of cloud services. We operate our environments using security zones and network segmentation separating environments with strictly governed firewalls, isolating systems from each other.
We place the highest priority on providing information security that meets and exceeds NIST 800-53 security controls through advanced methods, tools, and practices. Our on-premise data center is operated at a FISMA moderate security level. All of our cloud service providers are required to have received FedRAMP ATO certification for use on projects we support.
