Westat’s health services and health policy researchers will be participating at the 2024 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting (ARM), to be held in Baltimore, Maryland, June 29-July 2. The yearly conference will feature compelling research, innovative methods, and collaborative dialogues about the impact of health services research on health policy and practice. Westat staff’s presentations cover a variety of topics from health care workforce to patient safety culture to maternal health.
Two poster presentations cover multiple perspectives on challenges in nurse staffing and a third examines perceptions of nurses and other clinical staff on patient safety culture in medical offices. A fourth presentation examines the importance of data on clinician performance for consumers making decisions about their care. A fifth presentation on maternal health care examines the lived experiences of pregnant individuals in recovery from opioid use disorder.
