The Needs Assessment Toolkit is now available to help SNAP state agencies meet program requirements and enhance their existing needs assessment capabilities. It was developed as a collaboration between U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA’s) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) and Westat Insight, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westat.
The SNAP-Ed Needs Assessment Toolkit is available on the SNAP-Ed Connection website. The toolkit offers suggestions to increase the diversity of voices involved throughout the needs assessment process and strategies to link needs assessment findings to state goals and SNAP-Ed programming.
Learn more about the toolkit from our SNAP-Ed experts Stacy Gleason and Lila Gutuskey of our food and nutrition research team. They will be presenting the toolkit at the ASNNA conference. Their presentation, State-Level Needs Assessment Planning and Resources, will be on February 9, 2023, 10:45-11:45 am (ET).
