Westat’s health communications experts will be on hand to share best practices for creating compelling communication initiatives at the 17th Annual National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing, and Media (NCHCMM). To help raise awareness about the vital role that the community-engaged research sponsored by the National Institutes of Health’s Community Engagement Alliance (CEAL) plays in addressing misinformation and increasing health knowledge, Westat is sponsoring a Spotlight Session at NCHCMM. Community Collaborations – A Powerful Tool for Identifying and Responding to Misinformation, Thursday, July 20, 2023, 1:30-3:00 pm, will features an engaging conversation moderated by Westat Associate Director TaWanna Berry, MA. Panelists will explore why people believe misinformation, who is most susceptible, where it circulates, and how community collaborations can address it.
