Westat continues its climb up the rankings of the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Gold Global Top 25 list, with this year moving up a step to #7. The AMA follows trends in the market research industry, and each year ranks the top leaders in the field in its report.
Total revenue growth of the Top 25 was up 4.6% from the previous year to $22.549 billion. Westat is one of three American companies within the global list’s top 10 tier. This premier tier accounts for 88.5% of the total 2016 revenue of the Top 25.
So, what is happening in the field? The industry as a whole has been going through a transformation, as reported by Marketing News. “The profiles of the top 25 companies confirm that their services are expanding and changing,” explains Diane Bowers. “Most companies are vested in online research, panel research, social media measurement, data analytics, and customer experience.”
“We continually harness the expertise and capabilities of our employee owners to meet the needs of clients,” notes James E. Smith, Ph.D., Westat President and CEO. “It is again an honor to be ranked among the top competitors in our field.”
