Westat Update on Operations During COVID-19 Pandemic (March 25, 2020)

March 25, 2020

Westat continues to closely monitor developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety of our employees, their families, and communities is paramount. Many of our employees live and work in states and in countries that have different guidance on shelter in place, business shutdowns, and social interactions. We are offering consistent and clear guidance to our staff about safety as well as Westat priorities and operations. Our workforce is now teleworking in all locations (with the exception of mission-critical staff), and all business travel is cancelled. While our base of operations has necessarily transitioned, our availability and commitment to our clients continues unabated.

We are working steadily and adapting our solutions to meet our commitments to clients and partners. Our researchers, statisticians, methodologists, and field operations staff are designing and applying innovative data collection and project management and logistical strategies that address the constraints and challenges of our current environment while meeting project goals.

In the face of all the uncertainties ahead, Westat management wants to assure you that we will continue to do our very best to serve our staff, our clients, and our communities. Our mission of improving lives through research is more important than ever, and we are committed to protecting the health and well-being of our people and completing our work.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We stand ready to assist you however we can.
