Overview

Beth Mittl is a Vice President for Technology and Digital Solutions with more than 30 years of experience in systems and business requirements analysis, design and development, and IT project management. She provides oversight to systems planning and assessment of technical feasibility of solutions. She has broad technical and management skills and has developed rich web applications for data capture, content management, and study tracking, as well as data management and analysis tasks supporting health and scientific research.

Mittl manages the design and development of the Automated Self-Administered 24-Hour Dietary Recall System (ASA24), a food reporting diary, and serves as the senior IT manager on 6 NCI support services contracts. She works with other Westat leaders to determine IT and data project and resource emerging needs. She leads, manages, and grows multiple teams of programmers and developers in software development and the configuration of SaaS and COTS tools, including those related to analytics, data visualization, and emergent technologies. Mittl ensures that projects comply with information security regulations such as FISMA and best practices.
