Overview

Grace Huang, PhD, is a Principal Research Associate for Public Health with over 20 years of expertise in applying mixed methods to social science research and managing evaluation protocols from conceptualization to analysis and reporting.

Huang is currently the director of 2 FDA experimental studies to assess consumer perceptions about direct-to-consumer and native pharmaceutical drug advertisements. She was also the project director for the CDC’s Cancer Distress Screening Study, which involved using electronic health records (EHRs) and qualitative interviews to understand the psychosocial supports and services offered to cancer survivors. Huang contributed to several studies with NCI’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences, which include a 5-year evaluation of the Implementation Science Centers for Cancer Control (ISC3), the identification of multiteam competencies in cancer delivery, identification of key components of multilevel communication interventions, understanding of information-seeking needs of cancer survivors and caregivers using data from the NCI Cancer Information Service, and several bibliometric analyses to demonstrate the advancement of science and collaboration in the study of quality of care and global health.

Huang’s methodological interest is in applying social network analysis to various research contexts at the conceptual, interpersonal, and organizational levels. She is proficient in various programs for network modeling and visualization as well as qualitative and quantitative data analysis. She is also a prolific author, contributing regularly to scientific presentations, peer-reviewed articles, and final reports to clients.
