Kathryn Myers is a Principal Research Associate with 17 years of clinical trials research experience. She serves as the Project Director for the NICHD International and Domestic Pediatric and Perinatal HIV Studies Coordinating Center. Myers has worked on the NICHD contract supporting International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) Network studies for 13 years. She directly supervises more than 15 staff across various contract functional areas, including site management and monitoring, clinical operations, data management, regulatory compliance, and laboratory performance. She serves as the primary point of contact for daily interactions with the client, NICHD, and the research sponsor, NIAID/DAIDS to resolve operational and protocol implementation issues. Myers works closely with the NICHD Network clinical sites and external stakeholders to ensure close oversight and facilitate smooth IMPAACT study operations.
Myers oversees numerous high-profile task orders, ensuring that all aspects are performed as outlined in the contract scope of work, DAIDS Memorandum of Understanding, good clinical practice, and applicable regulations. In addition, Myers manages the development and implementation of project procedures, leads client meetings, and is responsible for monthly deliverables and project progress reports. She monitors technical performance, schedules, and budget, ensures compliance with reporting requirements, and contributes to financial decisions. Myers serves as back-up for the Westat Principal Investigator on IMPAACT-related matters.
