Patrick Coleman is a Vice President and Practice Director for Behavioral Health and Health Policy. He has 30+ years of experience in criminal and juvenile justice, substance abuse treatment and behavioral/mental health, and child welfare policy and programs. One of his significant areas of expertise is in designing project management structures to simplify communication, command, and control for a wide variety of federal, state, and other clients.
Coleman has held senior management positions where he provided expertise in federal and state policy, research, evaluation, performance measurement, and automated training and technical assistance management systems. In previous positions, Coleman served as Principal Deputy Director of the DOJ’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and as Director of Substance Abuse Treatment for the Iowa Department of Corrections. Coleman has served on several advisory boards concerning substance abuse research, evaluation, prevention, and communication, as well as drug and violent crime policy.
