Overview

Shoma Ghose, PhD, is an Associate Vice President for Behavioral Health and Health Policy. She has dedicated her career to improving the lives of individuals struggling with behavioral health conditions and creating a responsive health care system. She has more than 2 decades of experience in health care and disabilities research, technical assistance, policy analysis, and federal contracts management. Ghose has directed and played leadership roles on 30+ federal contracts such as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Financing Reform and Innovations (CFRI), Social Security Administration’s Supported Employment Demonstration, and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Early Psychosis Intervention Network National Data Coordinating Center.

Ghose was invited to work with the White House and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to coordinate with 14 federal agencies to support the publications of 2 Long COVID reports. Earlier, Ghose coordinated with 10+ federal agencies to draft Interdepartmental Serious Mental Illness Coordinating Committee (ISMICC) Reports to Congress, which help guide federal initiatives to serve the needs of individuals with serious mental illnesses and children with severe emotional problems.
