Overview

Stacy Gleason is an Associate Vice President for Social Policy and Economics Research. She has more than 2 decades of experience in research, evaluation, and technical assistance for federal agencies, state agencies, and foundations and other nonprofits. Her work focuses on federal food and nutrition assistance programs, building an evidence base for effective approaches, supporting data-driven policy and program improvement, and lifting the voices of program implementers and recipients. Gleason is an expert on the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); and SNAP Nutrition Education.

Gleason directs the WIC Breastfeeding Policy Inventory II, which collects data from a census of WIC state agencies and local agencies and examines the availability of breastfeeding resources. She serves as a technical advisor on studies such as the WIC Health Outcome and Participant Experience, Improving SNAP-Ed Data, and Examining the Use of SNAP-Ed Priority Indicators and Targeted Interventions.
