Sunitha Mathew, MS, is Vice President and Chief Growth Officer at Westat, where she brings more than 20 years of experience advancing the organization’s mission and impact. In her role, she leads enterprise-wide growth strategy, leveraging deep institutional knowledge, a strong leadership record, and a highly collaborative approach to drive sustainable growth.
Mathew has led numerous large-scale business and health research initiatives that have fueled organizational growth and innovation. Previously, she served as Practice Director for Clinical Research, overseeing a large and wide-ranging portfolio of research projects, including clinical trials networks, epidemiological studies, clinical infrastructure, biomedical informatics, and data coordination projects. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and strengthening client relationships to expand market share and organizational influence.
A respected thought leader, Mathew specializes in applying advanced data science methods to integrate and analyze large, varied data sources, transforming complex data into actionable insights that inform research, policy, and decision-making.
