Brad Edwards, a Westat Vice President and Director of Field Services, is the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Achievement Award from the DC Chapter of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (DC-AAPOR). The award recognizes Mr. Edwards’ outstanding contributions to the field of survey research, mentoring of staff, and commitment to the research community.
An active contributor to both DC-AAPOR and national AAPOR, Mr. Edwards has dedicated his career to methodological advancements in survey research as well as ensuring the pipeline of new staff entering the field is open and inclusive, and that staff are well prepared and supported. He has consistently been on the front lines of this work, steering conferences and workshops as well as developing short courses to inform survey research and champion researchers’ professional development.
