Westat to Share Child Passenger Safety Insights in 2026 National Child Passenger Safety Board Webinar

Westat’s Elizabeth Petraglia, PhD, will join representatives from the AAA Mountain West Group for a National Child Passenger Safety Board Community Education and Educator Forum on Tuesday, October 20, from 2 to 3 pm ET. During the session, NDCF Special Data & Analysis, she will present key findings from the latest National Digital Car Seat Check Form (NDCF) data analysis. This nationwide tool helps practitioners and researchers better understand child passenger safety practices and outcomes.

The webinar will highlight the role of data in informing education, outreach, and injury prevention efforts. Speakers will also discuss the partnership between AAA and the National Safety Council to develop a data-driven toolkit of media resources designed to support national education campaigns on child passenger safety. By translating real-world data into strategic recommendations, the initiative aims to help safety advocates, educators, and community organizations strengthen efforts to protect children on the road.
