New Tool Helps Education Agencies Assess Their Needs

October 19, 2022

The Comprehensive Centers Program provides capacity-building services to education agencies. Given the range of the services that the Centers can provide, a needs assessment can help Comprehensive Center staff understand recipients’ needs as well as clarify how the stakeholder will benefit from a Center’s services.

Westat’s Matthew Finster, PhD, a Region 5 Comprehensive Center staff member, developed the Preliminary Capacity-Building Needs Assessment for Education Agencies to help focus those needs assessment discussions on core components of capacity-building and corresponding needs and, in short, help Centers and stakeholders decide whether capacity-building services are needed and, if so, which components are crucial.
