Westat Is Key Corporate Sponsor for Montgomery College’s Presidential Scholars Program

Westat is announcing its commitment to sponsor and partner with Montgomery College in establishing the Presidential Scholars Program, which is designed to foster the opportunity for underrepresented students to succeed in high workforce need areas. The comprehensive program assembles a concentration of ambitious and diverse students in a tight-knit learning community to achieve their full potential. It offers education, training, financial support, and mentorship to help all students achieve transformational change in their lives.

Montgomery College and Westat have collaborated over many years to support students in the community. Westat helped establish funding through the Montgomery College Foundation for the Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) program, which supports a path for students in the local public school system to obtain a bachelor’s degree. It supports more than 2,500 students each year with critical education and coaching services.
