Overview

Benjamin Schneider is a Senior Statistical Associate for Statistics and Data Science with 10 years of experience in data science and survey research. He leads statistical tasks for large-scale social surveys related to education, health, and workforce statistics. In health and workforce studies, Schneider leads the development of specialized statistical software for analyzing imputed and synthetic data, including programs applicable to complex longitudinal data and electronic health records (EHRs). He is the author of the svrep package in R, an extension of the influential survey package, and has created other statistical software tools.

Schneider was a member of the organizing committee for the 2025 Government Advances in Statistical Programming (GASP) conference.
