Overview

Carrie A. Murthy, MA, is a Senior Research Associate with 18 years of experience in education research and policy studies. Murthy serves a diverse range of state and federal programs, with expertise in educator preparation and teacher workforce issues; conducting needs assessments and needs sensing; providing high-quality technical assistance (TA) to states, districts, and other stakeholders; building communities; and program monitoring. She creates and disseminates TA outreach and communication to grantees and states; conducts site visits and monitoring reviews of state and grantee progress toward project goals and sustainability; conducts data analysis; and provides planning and logistical support for virtual events, site visits, workshops, and conferences. 

Murthy has extensive experience as Project Director for federal data collection and technical assistance contracts, and as a Project Manager for a variety of research grants. She leads Universal TA for the Equity Assistance Center-South, and is a Comprehensive Center Network (CCNetwork) liaison supporting collaboration and TA across the CCNetwork. Murthy serves on the Albany County School District 1 Board of Trustees. She has coauthored publications and technical reports as well as numerous presentations during her career.
