Jianru (Angela) Chen

Overview

Jianru (Angela) Chen is a Lead Statistical Associate for Statistics and Data Science with more than 8 years of experience in survey research and data science. She participates in survey sampling, weighting, imputation, small area estimation, nonresponse bias analysis, and statistical disclosure control for various projects across the transportation, education, and health fields. She is proficient in advanced statistical software, including R and SAS, using programming languages to support complex data processing, modeling, data visualization, and adaptive design applications.

Chen specializes in disclosure risk assessment for large-scale synthetic data and is skilled in applying statistical programming techniques to implement disclosure control strategies that protect data confidentiality. In earlier work, she developed, modified, and continually evaluated scripted statistical procedures and performed psychometric and statistical analyses.
