Lin Li is a Principal Statistical Associate for Statistics and Data Science with more than 20 years of experience in survey research. She has participated in sample design and selection, weighting, imputation, nonresponse bias analysis, and small area estimation for various large-scale field surveys. Li also performed statistical disclosure control (SDC) for both survey and administrative data. In addition to applying traditional SDC techniques, such as data coarsening and perturbation, she created synthetic data for large education surveys and works on assessing the disclosure risk of synthetic data created from electronic health data.
Li is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA). She has served on the ASA’s Edward C. Bryant Scholarship Committee since 2024 and chairs the committee for the 2025–26 term.
