Marcie Hickman

Overview

Marcie Hickman is an Associate Vice President for Survey Management and Design with more than 30 years of experience in education, ranging from classroom education to state education agencies and research and policy. She has also managed budgets, led team members to implement strategic decisions, and built strong relationships with clients. 

Hickman serves as project director for the NAEP Support and Service Center, where she oversees training, study recruitment, and staff while collaborating across multiple coalition partners. Drawing on her experience as a NAEP state coordinator in North Carolina, her work with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, and her background as a classroom teacher, she brings deep insight into how NAEP operates across agencies and schools.
