Patricia Enright Kaplan is a Principal Research Associate for Public Health. She has more than 25 years of expertise in strategic communications, social marketing, and health program development. She specializes in health and scientific communications, research dissemination, media and crisis communications, partnership development, and thought leadership for a range of federal clients.

Kaplan has played a key role in developing programs like The Heart Truth, Learn More Breathe Better, Act in Time to Heart Attack Signs, Choose Your Cover,and Screen for Life,as well as regulatory communications for the FDA and private industry. She is highly capable in translating complex science into clear, engaging communications.

Kaplan currently serves as the communications director for a research study portfolio, where she strengthens internal and external communications and shares best practices developed by research teams with other researchers, community-based organizations, and the public. She has supported numerous clinical practice guidelines releases and journal publications, and previously served as a program director for a public health knowledge research program. Kaplan and her teams have been recognized by numerous award programs, including the Thoth Awards, ClearMark Awards, and the National Health Information Awards.
